mistafrosty i'm in love with the cassette club remix! it's such a great pop tune. these 4 songs would make a perfect 7" or 12", don't u think?

kmxexii An excellent collab. "Matters of the Heart" is great synthpop with a nice beat, Tommy chords / Tommy solo, and wonderful vocals from Yota. "Rapture" is prime disco with a great rhythm and, again, those lovely synth chord progressions; I really dig the clap / slap section at the drum break. The Cassette Club remix of "Matters" adds a soulful, sultry spin with a dash of downtempo funk. The Rex Ronan remix adds a high level of energy and a lush arrangement to make for yet another danceable tune. Favorite track: Matters of the Heart (Feat. Yota).

CARNOV Sferro & Tommy's collab is 5★ Synthwave!

Yota's breathy vocals are truly captivating and Rapture's melody is wonderfully cinematic. You guys rock! Favorite track: Matters of the Heart (Feat. Yota).

about

Girlfriend Records

Girlfriend Records was created by producer Sferro as an attempt to pay homage to the faded images and analog sounds of his childhood. Deeply rooted in the mystique of the 1980's, GFR's catalog sees electro, funk, disco, and house knocking knees with college rock, shoegaze, post-punk, new wave, and hip-hop to create musical hybrids that are comfortingly nostalgic, yet unmistakably modern. ... more

little lie
where did you go
why did you leave me
in the cold

street lights the silence and the truth,
bring me nothing
bring me nothing

why
why
does it please to hurt me

why
why
does it please to hurt me
you do it time and time again

no one, no one, no one, no one,
else could ever do

no one, no one, no one, no one,
else could ever do

no one, no one, no one, no one,
else could ever do

no one, no one, no one, no one,
else could ever do

why,
why,
does it please to hurt me

why,
why,
does it please to hurt me,
you do it time and time again

don't want to dance with nobody
don't want to dance with nobody
because,
I feel for you

don't want to dance with nobody
don't want to dance with nobody
because,
I feel for you

I feel for you

no one, no one, no one, no one,
else could ever do

no one, no one, no one, no one,
else could ever do

no one, no one, no one, no one,
else could ever do

no one, no one, no one, no one,
else could ever do

I feel for you
